To the person "thanking the world for forcing a teenager to announce her pregnancy".....I had NOTHING to do with this chick becoming pregnant. If she can't keep a nickle between her knees that is HER problem and nobody else's. This is her second pregnancy in two years and she has caused quite enough problems for the "world" and if anything, owes an announcement PLUS an apology!

How can someone force her to announce her pregnancy? You always have a choice, to announce or not to announce. What is wrong with some of you women?  Why don't you see this whole VP thing as a ploy to get votes and nothing more. When has a conservative republican male every gave a damn about women?  Some of them have left their wives in the middle of health crisis, some have slept with other men, most have had affairs, and most don't give a damn about women issues.  If they were interested in a woman as VP, why not one of the republican women who have been in the trenches for years with years of experience?  Do they (McCain)feel that none of the other women who have spent years of hard work not worthy of filling the shoes of VP, and this unknown woman with five kids, with very little experience is?  Wake up women and don't fall for this ole okie doke.  Republicans are preying on your sensitivity, your compassion and your nuturing nature to win this election, and if they do, they'll tell Sarah to sit her a** down somewhere and shut the hell up.  They couldn't do that with a strong Republican woman, that's why they didn't choose one.  Wake UP!!! I don't think the bloggers forced Bristol to announce her pregnancy. It would have become public for the obvious reason- her stomach would have told. I heard on TV (may have been CNN) that McCain said he knew about it and the Palins made it public because of that other baby story. The commentator said why not get Palin's OBGYN to testify that she had the baby? It was not necessary for her to announce her daughter's pregnancy. In any case, we don't live in the dark ages. People have kids out of wedlock all the time. I don't see what Bristol or her family had any reason to hide to anything.

Original story was correct.  Bristol missed the last 4 months of school due to mono last spring.  Sarah claims to have flown 8+ hours from Dallas in labor AFTER her water broke last April, then drove another hour past 2 major hospitals to a small town hospital to deliver Trig.  That led to suspicion that Sarah never was pregnant and Trig is Bristol's baby.

The "two pregnancies" story would explain everything if Bristol had already delivered or were very close to it.  All we need to see is both with their babies, and case is closed.  We will not see that before the election, and the new line provides explanation for that.  I ain't buying it.

Whose opening a book on whether Sarah Palin will get to give that Acceptance Speech this week, or whether she'll have been "swiftboated" out of the Campaign before then?

Wow, this news comes on the heels of all the pregnancy rumors.... What better way to hide the fact that Bristol had been pregnant before. If Bristol should lose the " baby "and Sarah used it as an opportunity to get more votes, one would think that she used her daughter as a stepping stone to further her political image.If this is Bristol`s first pregnancy, I wish her well. If her mother used her, I hope she gets caught...As far as her doctor testifying...Money can  buy most anyone now days.

How convieniant this "pregnancy". No way possible that Ann Coulter...I mean Sarah Palin, could be involved in a pregnancy cover-up now. The reason why this is a big deal is that it flies in the face of the ideals that Palin is espousing.  She doesn't think that "explicit sex-ed" should be taught in schools and that abstinence only is the right form of education and that it should be done at home.  She's either a bad teacher, bad mentor (her first child was born 8 months after she eloped with her husband), or too detatched from the role of parent to help her daughter make good decisions.  Then again she might think being a pregnant teen is a good thing, in which case my guess is all three are correct.

SO which one is Palen the one in the red or beige?  From the face I think she's the one in the beige.

I too agree that Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter having a child is not a big deal, however, when the mother of that seventeen year old is proud of the fact that 'she doesn't believe in birth control', and want to make policies to make it easier for ALL teenage girls to have babies, then I have a problem with that.  I guess even Republican women think it's better for young women to have babies early so they are too busy raising those children to be concerned with what rights they do not have.  That way they leave the matter of governing to the men.

First of all, as women, let's not be gullible. There are a lot of questions that she needs to answer before she would ever get my vote. Why did her husband sit in on many important official 'private' meetings? Why did she copy all her official executive emails to her husband? Why did he have the power to get a good employee fired only because he started dating an ex-wife of Palin's good buddy? There is a website complaining of her methods of governing. It seems anyone that crossed the Palins were punished politically. Shades of Bush/Cheney?

Why would ANY woman get on a 10 hour flight and drive a couple of more hours after rupture of the birth membrane? This is very dangerous. What kind of judgement IS that? She says she was 'not in active labor' so she got on the plane? Well, she could have been in active labor (5th child, preemie, special needs!) 30 minutes into that flight. THEN what? Come on.. Again, does she think we are idiots?

IF she did that, it shows TERRIBLE judgement. AND it does not make sense. Therefore it is probably not true! Even the flight crew said she was not apparently pregnant and certainly not in distress, as far as they were concerned.

Understandable that she was in a hurry to go be with her daughter perhaps, who had 'started leaking fluid' back in Alaska. But to risk herself and her unborn child to have him born in Alaska? Insane.

This timeline of Trigg's birth is taken from her own words! The newspaper listed the time of birth and the hospital, yet on the hospital website his birth is strangely not mentioned at all anywhere, on any day!

Her daughter missed 5 months of school from mononucleosis, an illness that may knock someone down for A FEW WEEKS! Does she think we are idiots? That girl should have been hospitalized and tested for a dozen diseases much more serious if she was not feeling better in a couple of weeks. What kind of mother would let a child just stay home (supposedly she had been shipped off to live with Sarah's sister?) for the whole school year and not be worried about her health, sick that long?

Now we are seeing pictures appear like the one in red where she is obviously pregnant with previous children, and being told 'see, she WAS pregnant'. They will try very hard to cover this up, even either saying Bristol is pregnant NOW, or they are making her farther along than she really is. We are only playing with 2 weeks here (VERY co-incidental!) as Trigg is 4 1/2 months and Bristol 5 months along. After giving birth and being kept from her boyfriend for 5 months, perhaps the first place Bristol went was to visit Levi. The most fertile time in a woman's life is immediately after giving birth, and can you imagine that kitchen table conversation at the Palin's house?

Remember that Sarah Palin had no idea about this VP spot. She was trying to cover up this first pregnancy embarrassment in order not to mess with her political career in Alaska, a whole different world. It then morphed into babygate when the whole story came out onto the national stage. We Americans who follow politics are not as gullible and trusting perhaps as Alaskans, whose lives are so far removed from the lower 48. This will not go away, especially since there seems to be no record of this child's birth (all the other babies born at the center are listed!) and the entire story smells to high heaven.

It is not the question if her daughter is pregnant or if the just born baby is from Sarah or her daughter. What i think is not ok, is that the conservatives are against the anti-baby-pill, against using condoms, against having sex before married etc. and at the same time they are to shy to talk with their kids about the topic "sex". So that is what happened then. The 16 year old fall in love to a boy (what is normal in that age), and instead of taking care, the get pregnant, and now getting forced to get married with 17! This woman is absolutely crazy.  And I can't believe her husband is standing back and letting it all happen.  If you read the news papers, no one in her office was aware that she was even expecting.  At 7 months she springs the news on her staff who in their words were "shocked because she didn't appear to be pregnant and never mentioned it".  Look closely at the photo of her daughter sitting holding the baby Trig.  The daughter looks absolutely terrified.  Every turn there is an excuse for why she did something.  Why she flew from Texas to Alaska with her water broke, why she then drove past 2 major hospitals to give birth to a baby at a hospital in a small town, my guess is she knows someone there very well.  Why she pulled her daughter out of school for approximately 4+ months and if you do the numbers, it was just about the time her daughters pregnancy would have started to show.  What will happen next.  Generally people like this create drama after drama or tragedy after tragedy to keep you hooked into feeling sorry for them just to ultimately get what they want.  It's a horrifying form of manipulation.  Watch the body language of the family.  Watch how the daughter always holds the baby so that her stomach is covered.  If you are a woman who has had a baby with downs syndrome, would you leave the baby immediately after having it to return to work.  Use your motherly instincts, listen and watch....Palin is a fake.  If there's anyone out there that knows the truth do this entire country a favor and come forward.  This could be the next President of the U.S. and if she's not concerned about destroying her family, she certainly would have no sound safe vision for an entire nation.

Is it just me or did Bristol look VERY pregnant last night at the convention? And everyone just recently found out she was pregnant? It almost looked fake. You think she had a baby at 16 and they are trying to hide it now with a second faked pregancy? Whole thing is bizzare!

Best of luck to all mothers and children, no matter what their marital status. In this case I have such a strange feeling about the way Gov. Palin handled her daughter's situation. First of all, the 10-hour flight sounds flat-out crazy. Once your water breaks, the worst pain comes and the birth is not 10 hours off, especially when you've already had four. Crazy, So I went looking for a  photo of the Gov. during her latest pregnancy and found only one more besides the flat-belly one shown above. It's the one at dailykos, mentioned by chira above, where the belly looks about six months but the photo was said to  have been taken in August, which is months after the baby was born.  After checking out photos of her daughter Bristol and reading in several places about her long hiatus from high school, I came to the exact same conclusion as miaminative: Bristol could very well be pregnant with her SECOND child.  

What I want to know is, why did Bristol look like her mammary glands are overflowing with milk during the Republican National Convention? I haven't been pregnant in over twenty years, but I seem to remember my breasts did not get monstrous like that until right before my son was born, when my body knew it was time to start making milk so I could nurse him. Then they stayed huge until my son was weaned. Either Bristol had some major boob job (yeah, like her Hockey Mom would have approved of that) or...what?

I agree with those who think Bristol is the mother and that she either has gotten pregnant again (which I doubt, although it's certainly possible) or she's going to have a "tragic miscarriage" right about the time voters are getting ready to head to the polls.

I agree with the person who said, mothers, trust your instincts...which of the two women is acting like the real mother? I seriously doubt Sarah Palin is the mother. But if she is, I'm not at all impressed with her as a mother. She is clearly a political opportunist par excellence. And I have to wonder: Was she "giving God a chance to take the baby" by so irresponsibly flying back to Alaska and putting her child at such terrible risk? One obstetrician remarked in the comments of one of the blogs I read about this that, in his experience, had Sarah Palin's water really broken while making that speech, there's no way she wouldn't have had the baby on the plane and certainly she would not have been able to keep her labor a secret.

Supposedly "Ms. Barracuda" already knew the baby had Down syndrome...so what was she thinking? Was she hoping she would lose the baby and still get to say she's anti-choice and opposed to abortion no matter what? Or just confused and not thinking clearly enough to make a responsible decision when life was on the line? Do we want that kind of person running our country?

If this country screws up again this time, we deserve to go down in flames.

First of all, loved the article.  Second, if any of you don't know what Obama stands for by now then you aren't listening or just don't want to know.  Which is fine but please stop repeating the same GOP retoric of "He's an empty suit" or "No one knows what he stands for."  We do.  When it comes to Gov. This whole situation is very disturbing.  This woman has the capability to be the most dangerous woman in history.  You can look at her and read her body language, if she is the mother of Trig she would show more compassion for him. She won't be able to show compassion for the rest of the country.  She say she is a pit bull with lipstick, what happen to the values of women are we not suppose to be the backbone of the family?  I'm not going to judge her because she will be judge by the creator, but I know when you live by the sword you will die by it.  All we have to do is sit back and wait, the truth will come out.  You can not suppress the truth for long.  Too many cameras, videos, satellites and to many nosey people in this world for the truth not to come out.  They can't hide the truth forever.  

NoBama, I'm just comparing the picture of Bristol (with the bump and the much smaller breasts) that appears at the top of this blog and the following one, taken at the convention. That's a BIG difference. And watching the whole thing live, there were other images where they looked even bigger than in this picture. Sure, she could have gained some weight, but the rest of her body didn't gain nearly as much as her boobs did.

When I was nursing, I ballooned up three cup sizes; when I put on 50 lbs., my cup size did not increase enough to rate a bigger-cup bra, just the chest circumference got bigger. So it just strikes me as fishy that her boobs looked that huge at the convention compared to what they looked like before.

Wow, I don't even know where to begin. First, I don't think anyone even cares that a teenager became pregnant. It is that her mother needs to be at home. I am not one to say that a woman can't do it all. I truly believe one can. But, timing is everything. With a pregnant daughter, a special needs son/grandson (who knows?) at home, and other small children. I believe a womans first priority is at home. She obviously does not feel the same. Maybe her oldest daughters acting out and getting pregnant is proof that her mother hasn't been there to guide her in the right direction.

I have seen small children handle their differences better than this campaign.  Senator Obama seems to have taken the higher road and wants to talk issues and how he can make things better.  Senator McCain seems to want to only disparage his opponent and sling mud to cover the inability to know answers for the future and to tout his being a P.O.W. which might include several thousand other men to be President.                  

The thing that bothers me most about this thing is that Sara Palin is most likely lying about Trig.  It seems like the best qualification you can have for getting on the Republican ticket is lying and keeping things secret.  I think that is about the only qualification she has.  Every McCain ad on TV has lies about Obama.  At the end of each ad I expect him to say "I'm John McCain and I approve this lie"  When he says that then I will believe him!!

Take a ruler and measure how far her eyes are away from her nose, in some picture of her, and it will reveal that she may be retarded herself. Maybe McCain KNOWS she is retarded?? I've read that allegedly the kid that played 'Corky' on Life Goes On, is the real sperm donor in that family, for both daughter and mother. Don't discount this theory, or think it's meant as a joke. We have to understand that all politicians lie.  It is unfortunate that we have to just vote for the lesser of two evils.  We have to look at the facts and what we honestly want out of leader.  Because of this, I do not think Palin should be our next VP, or President, because, there is more of a chance that McCain will not make it through the next four years than the chances that he will.

On Palin's daughter, it is too bad that due to the teachings or lack of from her mom, she is pregnant.  It's said that Palin opposes abortion under any circumstance unless the mother's life is in danger, (I would prefer to die and allow my child to live), believes that God put us in Iraq (didn't 911 occur because of "God" according to those who flew the planes?).  My heart bleds if a see a dead dog just left in the street, but Mrs. Palin has no problem shooting a four-legged animal while on a helicopter.  There are so many more things that are out on Mrs. Palin, which are facts and scary.  What makes me actually go "hmmmm?" is the fact that even strong REPUBLICANS in office are saying she is not what we, as a nation need, and that she is not everything McCain is making her out to be.  Again, THINK and vote for the better person.  For the person you can honestly say, "HELL YES, I VOTED FOR THEM", and not be ashamed of it.

I love pregnant teens.  

I was for McCain until he chose Palin. She seems to tell a lot of lies and hide information. If she can fool people about her pregnancy, real or not, then imagine how she will fool the American people. She has a spotty education herself and does not seem to value intelligence over craftiness. Obama has a real education and is obviously thoughtful and intelligent. He has Biden who is experienced. And best of all he has Gene Sperling, the wonderkind of economics. Mr. Sperling can get our economy back in line. He is thought to be the best economic mind in the country. So I will vote for Obama for the economic advisors he has in place.

  So Sarah believes in "PRO-LIFE". So the girl has to go through the pregnancy reguardless of her age, financial position, father of the baby, ect... When that baby begins to cry where will she be? When you need diapers for the baby where will she be? When you need food for the baby where will she be? At 2am when the baby is sick with a fever where will she be? When the child is given up for adoption cause the mother is too young or raped or in a financial binde at the time of pregnancy, where will she be? Lets be real, this shit happens all the time and with the economy the way it is there might be more problems to come. Children will grow up in the system mad at there mother for giving them up and then acts out on society. She also believes in gun control.  So when the kid that was given up for adoption and grows up in the system mad at his mother and acts out on society and begins to rob people you can shoot them. That makes sence. What about the fatherless kid that has no father figure to show a boy how to be a man? He now grows up in the streets doing the wrong things and ends up in jail where we are now paying 30k per prisoner to keep locked up away from society. of coarse there are exceptions but we as american people are constantly paying for other peoples mistakes. Two hours and $250 can end so much shit. Right now I'm paying for thousands of kids that i haven't fatherd for women i haven't fucked or even met! THATS SOME BULLSHIT!!! The same goes for women paying for kids and weren't pregnant a single day of ther life. All this for "PRO-LIFE". If you ask me FUCK PRO-LIFE! If that girl feels that having a child is not a good idea, then GET AN ABORTION!!! I'm not saying to use abortion as a form of birth control but hell lets face it, shit happens and sometimes you have to do what you got to do!
