You thought Sarah Palin was just the newly elected running mate of John McCain? Nope! Sarah Palin is many things - and one of those things is...she's a hunter. True story....photos!

First female Governor Sarah Palin, 44, is one tough cookie. She might be a former beauty pageant contestant, but don't let that fool you. She's known for her reputation of not backing down on issues she believes strongly about, she's challenged heavy spending and fought to reduce taxes, she pushes through political reforms, she's raising five kids, and once described herself as "just your average hockey mom in Alaska," and.... she's also a hunter.
I'm sure some people will find her seemingly average Alaskan lifestyle, which often includes hunting, endearing - make her seem more like regular folk, and there will be others who find her "scary" because she's a hunter. One blogger thinks she looks "dangerous." Pfftt. So, she likes to hunt? Big deal - neither scary or dangerous.
McCain said about Palin, on Friday at an Ohio rally, "She knows where she comes from, and she knows who she works for. She stands up for what's right, and she doesn't let anyone tell her to sit down."
Sarah and her husband, Todd Palin, are parents to five kids.
