According to Cinematical, superstar actor and dad Johnny Depp, 45, is NOT cast as The Riddler in the next Batman movie. In fact, the film isn't yet in the casting phase. As we showed you here at Famecrawler, Johnny was recently in Pompano Beach, Florida performing with his old ban The Kids. Well, while he was there, Depp did a radio interview.
He was asked about The Riddler gig and Johnny replied, "Oh yeah, I heard about that. Not that I know of. It seems like it'd be a fun gig for a while, yeah."
Since director Christopher Nolan isn't even signed to do the movie yet, we can only HOPE that Depp gets signed to the next film. No doubt there WILL be another Batman movie. It just passed the $500 million mark, and it's only the second movie in history to do that. ("Titanic" was the other.)
