Rocker Melissa Etheridge performed at the Democratic National Convention last week and brought down the house. Mother of almost 3-year-old twins Miller and Johnnie with Tammy Michaels, Grammy-winner Etheridge spoke out about the winds of change.
"When I was there [at the DNC], I felt a great sense of hope. I felt a great sense of, finally, us coming together because it was people of all kinds there...I feel a huge change coming. I feel it."
She had an Obama pin on her guitar strap and cranked up the crowd by changing some of her lyrics to reflect on Obama's candidacy. "Call all your family to vote," she told the audience. "It's the most important thing you can do this year."
Melissa is also appearing on the upcoming Stand Up to Cancer event this week and spoke out about cancer, too.
"It stops you and life is just like a wave...right over you. All those things that seemed so important, all those things you stressed about all day long, they just disappear and you're left with yourself and your love of life."
