Jon Voight supplied the superstar celebrity quotient that came to the Republican National Convention this week. The only other four celebrity mega-star Republicans, Tom Selleck, wife Jillie Mack, Jerry Bruckheimer and Patricia Heaton, all stayed home tending to their humongous careers on the big and small screens.
Voight showed his GOP candidates some love, but when asked by the StarTribune about his famous daughter he replied, "Who knows
which way she'll vote," and confirmed that he has yet to meet any of
Jolie's children.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Voight was effusive about McCain, calling him an "amazing guy" and predicting the Arizona senator would keep the country "safe with prosperity."
Voight is equally in awe of Sarah Palin, saying she is a "beautiful choice" and praising "the pure simplicity of her poise and experience."
Speaking of ominous events that could prove catastrophic for our nation, Voight confirmed that he is working on a THIRD "National Treasure" movie.
