Madonna Says No Acting For Lourdes

Posted by trix

Madonna nixed Lourdes plans to be in a movie this summer/fall. What? Why not?

“Madonna didn’t work ’til after school and she wants it to be the same for Lourdes. She doesn’t want her to enter that harsh world.”

Lourdes wanted to be in The Secret Life of Bees Dakota Fanning and Paul Bettany, but her momma said no way! Lourdes is only 11 and Madonna doesn't want her to grow up fighting the craziness that is Hollywood.

Madonna just wants her babies to be babies for a while. She doesn't want them to have to face the day to day battles that we see so many young kids face and fail to get past.

Tell that kid to get some tweezers!  It looks like 2 caterpillars fighting...

I was just going to say Madonna should be commended if she really is trying to keep her children as children. Working a part-time job as a teenager is one thing; entering Hollywood as a preteen is another, in my opinion.

But, I also have to thank Homer for his insensitive, crappy comments about an 11-old-girl. They just illustrate my point.

I agree that Homer's comments are insensitive, but its the first thing I thought when I saw the photo - 11 or not, creme hair remover and tweezers are necessary!!

They do look like caterpillers.  She has thinned them some recently.  She is still a pretty girl even with the eyestaches and the Fu ManChu.  Just stating the obvious.

She's adorable. And 11 is too young to be messing with your face. I just turned 28; I can still remember 6th grade- the only thing I used on my face at 11 was soap and water, and maybe a little Clearasil as needed. Kids should be allowed to not have to worry about all the junk that we adults do for as long as possible, which is why I agree that Madonna is right to keep her kid a kid.

She IS a kid.

I do think she may look back on this time and wish her mom had let her get something done about her extra hair...

I think Madonna probably isn't ready to share the spotlight with her daughter.  Out with the OLD, in with the NEW.

Hey, I had to shave when I was 13. Lourdes needs to do something with that facial hair or she'll be confused with Sasquatch. Italians, we have the facial hair. It's genetic.

Do something about it.
