Britney's mom, Lynne Spears, has written a 'tell-all,' about her and younger daughter Jamie Lynn and apparently goes into great detail about personal issues concerning both of the girls. One of those very private situations, is when Britney lost her virginity and to whom. Mama Spears had no qualms about dishing that information. Nice mother. Big mouth much?
Despite Britney's 'I'm a virgin' statements (which, reportedly she was told to say - it was part of her pop persona) when she was dating pop sensation Justin Timberlake, she was actually not a virgin. She'd lost that to teenage football star Reg Jones.
Jones was Brit's first 'real' boyfriend and he reportedly took her virginity when she was just 14-years-old - he was 17 at the time. Yikes! I hope my daughter isn't that same age but when she does have sex for the first time, I'm quite certain I'm not going to write a book disclosing that information to the public. Nice going Lynne.
The Daily Star quoted Reg saying, "We were madly in love and Britney was very passionate. I'd often stay over at her house and we'd fool around like any young couple."
He continued, "Although there was a couple of years difference in our age, it didn't seem to matter. She was everything a boy could have wanted - great looking, always laughing and liked by everyone.
"One time she called me from Los Angeles, saying: 'Guess who I've just beaten at ping-pong? Leo Dicaprio.' How do you compete with that?"
Soon after Britney "broke" Reg's heart on Christmas Day - she dumped him for Justin Timberlake, who, apparently, is also known as "The Trousersnake." Uh, okay. Call me JT!
And according to some of Reg's friends, one of his most prized possessions are some photos of the future popstar, wearing only a black bra.
Britney has also admitted that she was in love with Reg, saying, "I was really head-over-heels in love. I don't think I'll ever love somebody like that again. I was sure I was going to marry this guy."
Sure, that's what we all think at 14 - he's the one, we're getting married, it's true love!
And Reg wasn't the one to spill the beans about taking Brit's virginity. He never really went public with that information - it was good ol' mom Spears who blabbed in her book, Through The Storm.
Thanks mom, I'm sure Britney appreciates that.
