I love the Foo Fighters in a way that borders on unhealthy. I've seen them open for the Red Hot Chili Peppers at The Gorge and for the Police in Dodger Stadium. I've seen them play acoustic overlooking the shores of Santa Barbara and rocking the Great Western Forum with the likes of Lemmy from Motorhead. Basically, if there is foo to be fought, I'm on it.
It's probably not healthy. Luckily for my wallet the boys in the band are hanging it up- temporarily. They are taking a break- a long one.
Dave Grohl and the the rest of the guys are all dads of really small kids and they've been touring non-stop for what must seem like forever. I get it. I don't like it, but I get it.
Here's hoping that they get the itch to return sooner rather than later. Enjoy your break, guys.
