Despite previous reports, it is now being reported that "Lil' Chris" Baker's wife was not in labor at the time of the plane crash that took Baker's life. Earlier, sources had said that Travis Barker, DJ AM, Barker's assistant "Lil' Chris" and three others were rushing home to Los Angeles so that Baker could be by his wife's side when she gave birth.
A rep for DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, issued this statement:
"In regards to [inaccurate reports], Lil Chris Baker did not ask for a jet to meet his wife in delivery because she's not even pregnant. A private jet had always been chartered as DJ AM had a private engagement today in Los Angeles."
Baker and his wife are parents of a 2-year old son.
Barker and Goldstein were seriously burned in the plane crash that took the lives of Baker and three other passengers on Friday night and were reported to be in critical but stable condition at a burn center in Augusta, Ga. The group had boarded the Lear jet hours after performing for thousands of South Carolina college students.
