By now you are most likely aware of the tragic plane crash that killed four people and left Travis Barker and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein in critical condition with severe burns. Rumors have been floating around that musicians Perry Farrell and Gavin DeGraw were also on the plane- this is not true.
Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction, Porno For Pyros, Satellite Party and DJ Peretz fame. He also created Lollapalooza and assisted with the creation of Kidzapalooza. He is married to Etty Lau Farrell and they have two sons, Hezron Wolfgang and Izzadore Bravo.
Farrell sent a message to Barker and Goldstein via MTV News: "Come back to us soon Travis and AM! We want to send
our love/ healing vibes out to the two amazing fellows Travis and AM,
who are at this moment very, very injured. The thought of what they
went through and lived through is almost beyond belief. ... We keep
wishing it was just a bad dream. We want them to know that they are in
our prayers wishing them a swift and successful recovery."
Farrell and DeGraw both played the same show as Travis Barker and DJ AM.
The rumors surrounding the two being in the crash were so great that DeGraw's parents believed them. According to a conversation with Extra, DeGraw said, "My dad got on the phone and he goes, ‘Just say hi’ and I said, ‘Huh’
and he said, ‘That’s enough. I just wanted to hear your voice."
"My heart goes out to the friends and families of those affected by
this tragedy. I wish Travis and Adam the best during their recovery,"
DeGraw told Us.
Scary stuff. We're glad that Farrell and DeGraw weren't a part of the tragedy and our continued thoughts go out to those that were.
