Jeff Gordon, NASCAR driver and new daddy to Ella Sofia, says that fatherhood came at the perfect time for him. Gordon, 37, says that dadhood at his age lets him appreciate it a lot more than he would have at his career's beginning. He also thinks that having kids at an early age would have jeopardized his track success.
"When I’m at work, my mind is focused on my job, on driving. If you have a great weekend, you’re on a high. When it’s a bad day, you just want to get away from the track. But no matter how good or bad my day was, coming home, it’s all put aside. You don’t have a choice. I’m a realist. It’s tough. So is racing."
He also says, "You think you are busy until you have a child. Turns out that my life was not all that busy until Ella came along."
Jeff's wife is model Ingrid Vandebosch. They've been married for a couple of years now.
