For Khary Campbell, yesterday was a great day. The Washington Redskins linebacker got himself two tackles and a win against the Dallas Cowboys, AND he became a father! His wife went into labor a few days earlier than planned and out came baby boy Shia, weighing 7 lbs., 14 oz.
Campbell's wife was supposed to be induced today, but Shia joked that he didn't want to wait and "wanted to be here for the game." When he heard she was in labor, he knew he couldn't make it to Virginia in time for the birth, so he stayed to play football. By the time he got to the locker room before the game, a text message from his mom told him, "Your son is here."
Campbell played the game, then drove straight to the hospital.
Congrats, Khary!
