It's completely understandable if you're a bit baffled as to why a parent - celebrity or otherwise - would buy a stripper pole for their autistic child. For any child. I certainly was baffled.
Well, it turns out that Jenny McCarthy's recent purchase of a stripper pole for her son Evan was actually an alternative to a fireman's pole, which, according to Jenny, was both too big for their home and a tad too expensive. "The fireman's pole was, like, $2,000," she told Access Hollywood, "and the strip-aerobics pole was $200."
Which makes a little more sense. I can see wanting to support a child's ambitions to be a firefighter. No offense to pole-dancers, of course. Pole-dancing might be good exercise - and who doesn't want their kids to get exercise - but those tassels are a choking hazard.
