The lead singer of Travis, Fran Healy, took his family recently from London to Berlin in an effort to give his son Clay more of the family life. Healy says that London is a "really fantastic city to live in from 18 and up," but it just didn't feel right for his young family.
Fran and wife Nora Kryst brought 2-year-old Clay to Germany recently and they like it much better. "In the area I live there are 60 playgrounds," says Fran. "Where I was living in London, Crouch End, which is the same size, there's two. There are different values, the cheaper way of living means families have more quality time, everything just feels a bit lighter."
Travis - great band, by the way - has a new album coming out on Tuesday called "Ode to J. Smith."
