Sarah Palin Just Like Us - Uses H&R Block, Made $294,000

Even famous people use H&R Block to file their taxes!  Just like us regular folk!  Except Sarah Palin made a lot more than most of the people I know....

Sarah and husband Todd, paid a total of $37,000 in taxes on their combined income of $294,000 in 2006 and 2007, according to returns released by the John McCain presidential campaign.  And yes, they used H&R Block!  Now that's exciting news.

The couple claimed expenses on Todd's racing snow machine (parts and fuel) and Todd made $27,000 in profits from fishing and about $7,500 from his racing.  He's a four time Iron Dog World Champion.  I guess Sarah brings in the big bucks.

The tax returns show that the Palins have given $8,000 in charity since 2006.  The also donated a crib to the Salvation Army - oops, probably should have kept that.

The Palin's home is valued somewhere between $500,000 and $1 million.

The family also collect more than ten grand a year from oil dividends paid by the stage as Alaskan residents.

All in all, not too shabby.  However, they are a family of seven people so I guess that's not that much money when you break it down.  But at least Sarah has enough left over to get her lips done.  Ha.
