The mother of Levi Johnston (Bristol Palin's baby daddy), Sherry, said that when Sarah Palin heard the news that her 17-year-old daughter was pregnant, the governor burst out laughing as her daughter waved a pregnancy stick in front of her. Apparently she thought it was a joke. Oh no, it's definitely no laughing matter.....
According to to Sherry Johnston, Bristol began shouting to her mother, that yes, she was indeed really pregnant, that it wasn't a joke. But Sarah couldn't stop giggling - she really thought they were kidding.
Bristol and Levi had, in the past, joked around about having a baby, so Sarah thought it was another one of those times. However, when she realised that they were not fooling around (no pun), she was shocked and her face dropped. And the laughing stopped.
Johnston also revealed that Palin had never taught her daughter safe sex practices, but instead, just told her that "not doing it" was the only way to avoid having a kid.
Perhaps Sarah should have discussed all options of safe sex and maybe her teenage daughter would have been more equipped to deal with the situations she found herself in. But, that's all water under the bridge now - there's a baby coming in just a few short months.
