Gretchen Mol, 35-year-old star of the ABC series "Life on Mars," was out in NYC the other day, playing with her son, Ptolemy John (13 months). They hung out in a park next to the Hudson River for a while. When Gretchen was on "The View" recently, she said that her husband, Tod Williams, had a schoolmate with the name Ptolemy and so that's where the couple came up with their son's name. It's certainly unique.
If you're not watching "Life on Mars," you're missing out on a great show. I loved the British series, but I have to say that the American version is a very successful translation. You can catch episodes online if you need to catch up. Highly recommended.
