Here you see a teeny tiny Pete Wentz, being held by VP-elect Joe Biden. His mom, Dale, is smiling, too. They're all at Pete's aunt's wedding reception in 1982 in Wilmington, Delaware.
According to Pete, 29, he has Vice-President-elect Joe Biden to thank for being born. His parents were legislative assistants to the senator at the time.
"I would not be standing here actually in reality at all because my parents met working for Biden. They met on the campaign, so they have this particular affection for Joe. He came to their wedding. If it weren’t for Joe Biden, I would not exist as a human being," Pete said.
Pete said on his blog that his dad once told him: "Mom and I met in Washington when we were both legislative assistants to Sen. Biden, when he was in his first term. I had worked in his campaign, and your mother had been in the foreign service. We started out as friends and the rest is history."
Go figure. Politics did something good for once.
Pete, bassist for Fall Out boy, is married to Ashlee Simpson. The couple announced that Ashlee is pregnant in May of this year, so she should be ready to pop very soon.
