Chloe O'Brian on 24 is showing off her new baby, 3-1/2-month-old Valentine Anthony. Mary Lynn Rajskub, 37, recently posed for People magazine and talked about her pregnancy and delivery. In the interview, she says she's definitely coming back to "24." She recently started back to work - first time after the baby was born.
Mary Lynn even has a baby set-up in her trailer. She's doing the breast pump thing and has a nanny. And - get this - the baby falls asleep to Metallica...kind of. She has a CD called "Rockabye Baby Lullaby Renditions of Metallica." Wow. Can't even imagine it.
Mary Lynn says about Valentine, "He's just really cute. He's moving all over his crib. When I put him to sleep and come back in to check on him, he's scooted to the other end of his crib!"
Even though Mary Lynn and her boyfriend waited to find out the sex until Valentine was born, she knew for a while that she was going to have a boy. "I always knew he was a boy. Toward the end I started to second-guess, 'Maybe it's a girl, maybe it's a girl!' But I always second-guess things. I just knew - every time I thought 'girl,' it just seemed wrong. I just automatically thought of him as a boy."
As for Valentine's name, "His name is Matthew's great-great-grandfather's name. And my dad's name is Anthony. We had girl's names picked out too, just in case, but I can't even remember what they are! One was Mercy. And Kira was on our list too. But I didn't think it was going to be a girl."
Mary Lynn decided on a home birth, but "I labored for 20 hours at home and ended up having an emergency c-section. I experienced labor and a c-section. I had a doula and two midwives, and the labor was really great. His head was just too big - he never could pass through the pelvic area. But up until that point the homebirth was fantastic. But he just wasn't coming and wasn't coming so we finally just went to the hospital."
"24: Redemption," a 2-hour movie, comes on November 23rd at 8 p.m. on FOX. The new "24" season start with a four-hour premiere on January 11th and 12th, 2009.
