Aw, poor Madonna. Now that she and her terrifying arms are divorcing Guy Ritchie, she's no longer eligible to adopt another child from Malawi. Penston Kilembe, Malawian official, says the divorce means no adoption.
"One fundamental condition in scrutinizing adoptions is the connectedness of a family," Kilembe said. "We can’t approve a child to go into a broken family because the divorce could be the result of the behavior of the party trying to adopt. Madonna should forget this one."
In fact, not only is a future adoption in jeopardy - so is Madonna's adoption of 3-year-old David, who she adopted from Malawi last year. "His future will be decided by the British courts, who determine issues of custody," says Kilembe. "He is no longer our responsibility."
Madonna has 2 other children, of course. Lourdes is 12 and Rocco is 8. Custody battles are underway, as are all of the couple's financial assets.
