Barack Obama promised his daughers, Malia and Sasha, a new puppy upon his getting elected President. And now that we're finally finished hearing about the campaigns and seeing all those godawful commercials, the biggest question in the Free World is what KIND of puppy will the Obamas get?
With 10-year-old Malia allergic to dogs, there is definitely a challenge in finding the right doggy. Well, Peru may be able to help the Obamas. They're offering Barack and his family one of Peru's hairless, toothless dogs as a present.
Claudia Galvez, director of the Friends of the Peruvian Hairless Dog Association, says, "they do not cause any type of allergy and are very friendly and sweet." Oh, and fugly as hell.
The only catch? Galvez says they'd have to name the dog Machu Picchu to promote Peru's top tourist attraction.
