Gwen Stefani, Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal and Adrian Young took a break in 2003 after they all decided to do solo work, but they've regrouped and are working on their new album and will be touring - look out 2009, No Doubt is back!
On their official web site, they have an instant message conversation that reads:
Tom Dumont: "I have cabin fever. Maybe we should play some shows or something."
Gwen Stefani: "I think we should go out now. I don't think we should wait. Pack up the babies and get a bunch of nannies. So fun! Would be so inspiring to get out there and play all those songs again."
Although they don't give specific details on their site, Gwen had made a post on March 28, 2008, saying that their songwriting was starting again, but it was slow going because she was pregnant at the time (with Zuma).
Jim Guerinot, the group's manager, said that the new album has yet to be titled but that its being produced by Mark "Spike" Stent who also helped produce and remix Rock Steady. The album will be released sometime in 2009 and touring will begin then as well. It will mark nearly five years since the band has toured.
Gwen is now a mom of two sons, Kingston, 2 and Zuma, 3 months.
Tom is dad to son Ace Joseph, 2 and his newest editon, son Rio Atticus, 5 months.
Tony isn't a parent yet, but he's dating actress Erin Lokitz - maybe they'll make babies one day.
Adrian has a son, Mason, 5.
