Just when you thought Britney was getting her stuff together, she goes and pulls another crazy rabbit out of her hat. Her appearance on Good Morning America was huge, her new album dropped yesterday, and she was all set to perform on tonight's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Rockefeller Center...but no. Instead she decided to piss off NBC by backing out at the last second. Way to stay classy, Britt.
"You have no idea how many times Britney has changed things on us," an NBC insider says. "At least 14 times since I got here on Thursday. It is Britney Spears and she can do that because they want her to boost ratings but no one is happy putting up with this. I probably shouldn’t say this but guys on the crew were making bets about whether she would show up at all."
"She was originally supposed to perform live and then she wanted to pre-tape her performance instead. Then she didn’t want to do that. She keeps changing her mind and now she’s not performing at all but she is still supposed to pre-tape at 7 p.m."
What did Britt opt to do? Tape a video greeting for the broadcast tonight. This is going to have major repurcussions, I can tell you already. Nobody is going to put up with this bullshit more than once, that's for sure. She may be on the comeback trail, but being so blatantly unprofessional is a sure way to derail that train.
And if Britney really thinks this kind of behavior is going to get her custody of her children again, then maybe she's just a couple of days shy of shaving her head again.
