Olympian and gold medalist Kerri Walsh is expecting her first child with husband Casey Jennings. "I'm chubby and I'm pregnant and it's awesome!" says Kerri, half of the winningest beach volleyball team on Earth. She and her volleyball partner Misty May-Treanor announced after the Olympic games in China that they'd be focusing on starting families.
Seems Kerri was already a mom-to-be during the summer games, because she's already 16-1/2 weeks pregnant. "Well, the way they date pregnancies is a little bit confusing," Kerri says. 'We believe we conceived during our last days in Beijing, or about a couple of days after we wont the gold medal." So much for the myth that Olympians don't have sex during the games.
"We don't know if it's a boy or a girl, and we aren't trying to find out. We have a feeling it's a boy, but we’re going to find out the traditional way." Kerri is loving her new curves. "I think the chubbiness is all relative, but it's for the very best cause in the whole world, and I'm proud of it."
And what about Misty May's babymaking? "I know she's trying," Kerri says. "And that's all I'll say."
Ah yes, how I love making babies. Well, the part that leads up to the babies, anyway. I'm too old for a baby nowadays. I'd have to buy stock in Red Bull.
