The new issue of Us Weekly has Candace Cameron adorning its cover, and she talks about how she went from chubby to svelte hottie after having her babies. She has Natasha, 10, Lev, 8, and Maksim, 6. The 32-year-old former "Full House" star says she lost 22 pounds without trainers, surgery, or special diets. Such Hollywood norms are "not realistic" for most people, she says.
Don't get her wrong, Candace has tried lots of things in her past: diets, pills. Her weight used to roller-coaster, both during her "Full House" days and afterwards. When she married Russian-born NHL player Valeri Bure in 1996, she says the weight fluctuations continued.
She used to eat as much as Valeri. Problem is, he'd go out and slam players on the rink for four hours a day while Candace did almost nothing physical. Her husband has since retired from hockey and now owns Bure Family Wines.
A mere 5'2" tall, Candace now weighs 110 pounds and details her easy diet featured in the new issue of Us Weekly. Even at a size 0, she says there's always pressure to be thinner. She did a recent film for the Hallmark Channel - "Moonlight & Mistletoe" - and the female director was constantly telling Candace to "Suck it in!"
Give me a freaking break. Candace is gorgeous just as she is. How freaking skinny do you have to be before Hollywood lets up? A size -4?
Moonlight & Mistletoe was a cute flick, by the way. I'm sure they'll be showing it again this month on Hallmark. Course, I'm a sap for holiday movies.
