How much does love cost? Well, they say it's priceless, but for Madonna, you can actually put a price tag on love. Failed love, at any rate. It costs $76 million. That's how much money she's giving Guy Ritchie in their divorce settlement. Holy crap, that's a ton of money.
According to Us Magazine, Madonna, 50, has given Guy, 40, between $76 million and $92 million as part of the divorce settlement. That includes the big country estate in England. Madonna keeps most of her $500 million, but $76 million is a huge chunk of cash. "I'd assume it's one of the largest payouts ever in a divorce settlement," says Madonna's rep.
And even though we just reported that Madonna and Guy would spend Christmas together for the sake of their children, her rep - Liz Rosenberg - says it is very unlikely that Madonna will spend the holidays with Guy. She WILL be in London, however.
Even though I'm no Madonna fan, I think this is freaking ridiculous. Who the hell deserves that much money for a divorce? Especially someone like Guy Ritchie, who has his own money. Granted, it's no $500 million, but still. The guy makes a lot of money directing movies.
I'll tell you what. If it gets me any portion of $76 million, I might even consider sleeping with Madonna. Sure, I'd be skeeved out, but hey, we all have our price. And Madonna's is high.
