Wow.  Was she being serious?  That is possibly the shallowest thing I've heard in a long time.  I've always kind of liked her (or maybe I just love Lord of the Rings and she made a good Galadriel).

so should the rest of us with not so great genes just stop falling in love and reproducing?

I don't think she's that shallow.....I'm guessing this little tidbit was taken out of context.  She's always seemed pretty level headed to me.

I'm guessing it was a joke and, if anything, probably an irreverent way of describing how cute her kids are. She has never come across as arrogant, but of course I may be wrong. Also, her husband is a little on the homely side so I really think it was said in jest.

I think that she is just very proud of her children. We all should be and we all should feel as though our little ones are the be all and end all of perfection. Even if it is not true. But I'm with Missy, her man is a bit funky.

You people really need to get a life and realize articles and blogs are re-worded to get people like you and I to read it.

The writers change a word here and there and it changes the entire statement.

Grow up and stop believing every thing you read.
