Connor Cruise: Dad Tom Skips His Son's Premiere to Promote Valkyrie But Why

Connor Cruise, who made his debut in the Will Smith film, "Seven Pounds," didn't see his dad, Tom Cruise, in the audience on opening night.  No, it's not because he couldn't get his dimunitive dad a booster seat - Tom decided to skip the premiere of his son's very first film so that he could stay in New York to promote his latest movie, "Valkyrie."

This doesn't make sense, especially given the horrible buzz that's been circulating about "Valkyrie" - I'm thinking one less night of publicity wouldn't make any difference.  I mean, would one more bucket of bailed water have saved the Titanic?

Apparently Cruise's camp is puzzled as well. “It comes as such a surprise,” says a Cruise source. “When Connor was filming (‘Seven Pounds’) Tom was so excited and proud of him. It’s sad Tom didn’t fly out for the evening. He could have missed one night of publicity to support Connor and Will.”

I just spent my entire day watching two performances of my daughter's Holiday show, along with a lot of other parents.  None of us make millions of dollars, or have a jet at our beck and call.  I'm just saying.

Betcha he won't be missing Princess Suri's anything. I'm seeing a two-tiered system here.

Mamallama - Hey, good point!  I'm going to check into that.  Articles I've seen only mention Tom as being MIA.
