For Courteney Cox's daughter, Coco Riley, it's a simple thing to do the Christmas shopping. Just put one thing on the list and she'll be happy: Barbie. The 4-1/2-year-old girl is obsessed with nothing but Barbie, and has been for a while now. Courteney, 44, says that "she has all the Barbies that David [Arquette] gives her, which is almost daily." Apparently, "David feels like if he just goes away for one hour, he has to give Coco a Barbie."
But last year for Christmas, it was Panic Central in the Cox-Arquette household. They got Coco a huge gift, the Barbie Mansion. "We went out to dinner, as we always do on Christmas Eve," Courteney says. "We came home and it's 11 pm and we get out the Barbie mansion, in this big box."
Then they saw the small print on the box: "Please allow 9 hours for assembly."

"And this is at 11 p.m.," she says. "There was nothing we could do; I'm not kidding, we had to get a contractor to put this house together. It is huge, it is pink, it is ugly...I can't give this thing away."
There was no way in hell they were getting it finished for Christmas morning. As it turns out, Coco got the Barbie Mansion six months later for her birthday.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why you should always read the packaging before you buy. That "some assembly required" message is for suckers.
