President-elect Barack Obama, wife Michelle and daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, will settle into their new home - The White House - within the next three weeks.
The family of four will head to Washington D.C. this weekend - they've been on holiday in Hawaii for the past few days.
Obama's transition team announced, "The president-elect will be here in Washington to continue work on an economic recovery plan."
They will stay at a Washington hotel until January 15, then move into the Blair House (president's guest house across from the White House), and the inauguration celebration begins January 20.
The transition team added: "[Obama] will also be here for the beginning of school."
I wonder if the girls are excited about the move? They're probably sad to be moving from their friends, but I'm guessing they'll quickly make new ones.
Hopefully the transition goes as smoothly as possible!
