exciting!! That place is HUGE!

sigh. wish i had a huge yard like that.

I used to like this show. But until I heard & seen some of the stuff she did, & does I am sick of her. Yah, the bigger the better cuz she doesn't have to clean it, or she didn't have to pay for it. She has a chef, cleaner, landscaper, & so on. So of course she is going to feed her kids organic cuz she don't have to cook it, or clean up the mess. She only cooks when the camera's are around. She is ridiculous.

I don't believe this is the Gosselin's house. Everyone is just making this up because you are all HATERS!

I'm curious about how viewers will react as this abnormally large yet normal family turns into a wealthy enough to raise kids with hired help family.  Orange County Choppers kept on rolling but the fictional Rosanne show collapsed with sudden wealth.

I love the show, I was raised in a Orphanage.  Jon & Kate have been blessed by The Good Lord!  They both work extreemly hard. Nasty comments can't stop what God had in store for this family! With or without the show, they are smart enough to raise their children.  I am a x-orphan and a Disabled Veteran and one of their cheer leaders.  We should all try to help some one and the bitterness leaves!

If the show fails because viewers cannot relate anymore to the new and improved Gosslins with staged canned adventures in spoiled kidland, then maybe when they go back to being po-polks the series will once again be the wonderful show we all know and love?  At least for a while until they get all cocky and full of it and move to another estate property again?

I was just browsing somesite's on the Gosselin's through Google. Anyways I came across a picture that I'm sure everyone overlooked, because I almost did. It is a picture of the Gosselin family in a entry way with stairs. It looks like a brand new just built home. I know it was Kate was barefooted in the picture and Jon had just socks on. It was a recent picture, so this must be pictures they wanted for a photo shoot in their new home. Anyways the pictures of a house that has been circulating all over the internet, I really don't think that that is their new home they bought, and the one picture I just notices doesn't fit the other pictures type of house. This picture looks like a new home that was just built. Even though it was just shot from an entry way you can tell it is brand new, more modern than the ones on the internet, and it looks huge. Double doors in light oak an entry way and to get anywhere else in the house you go down 5 large steps with handrails and that glass stuff (modern) into wherever. You just have to see the pic.

i had a link to the new house that i thought was the new house but it was a different house so i was going to find the like to the new hoouse to see.

OMG i wish i had a big family like this i am in love with this house and cant imagine what it is like in the inside wow they are really lucky!!!!

When families are on TLC with a popular show they make a lot of money.  Little People Big World went from a little dumpy farm house to a huge remodel that probable cost millions to build.  I remember when the show was first on, Mat worked and the wife was always worried about money.  Not any more.  The Duggers, who I think are ridiculous, started builing the huge house they are in and could not get it finished in the time frame they had so TLC finished it for them and it is huge and beautifull, no wonder the mother wants to have more kids.

Now in regards to the Gosselins.  John use to have a job, not anymore. They have taken all these expensive vacations, non gratis, they get expensive gifts from celebrities, they now have a 3 million dollar home, because Katie said the other one was to small.  In my estimation the house they are in is almost 4000 sq feet and it was big enough.  However they are making mega dollars, thanks to us viewers, so if they want to spend the money on an estate with lots of acerage it is none of our business.  We made it happen. Either stop watching or shut up  

They ask for people's help and now they have a bigger house than most people.  What the hell is that?  People, don't donate anymore.  And it's not like they're giving back to the community.  Selfish people!

I do not like the show anymore. I liked the times when they all did simple things. I will not watch the show anymore.

I think you need to get your facts in order.  The house is 1,120,000.

If you think the house they just moved from is 4000 sq. feet you don't have a clue regarding juding sizes.  That house is at the most 2,000 sq. feet.  

non gratis means not for free.  They got stuff "gratis" including vacations (hotel/meals/everything), hair transplants, etc.  You think they are paying for all that stuff???

Jon doesn't have a regular job anymore because he pissed off Jodi's husband who was his boss.  

He didnt piss off Jodys husband, jodys husband is kates brother, he worked for Beths husband ( a friend) so you dont have it right either

I am so happy for you all. Its wounderful to see the children run and play in their new home. I hope Kate is able to find them!!!!!. Good Luck to all of you. Looking forward to watching many more seasons and also the kids growing up. They are like family to all of us.

omg. you guys just need to leave jon and kate alon. Let them do what they want to do. They didnt even try for 6 they tried for 1 and got 5 more. You people are rude. Just leave them alone  because even though they r rich and ave been on alot of talk shows, they r a regular family other than the 8 kids..  Just dont even talk  about them if you like them or not. AND   if it is not nice, dont say it.

I still like the show but I think Kate needs to stop playing down their new rich life style.  They originally said they let TLC into their family so they could have films done of the kids while they were small, now it is for the money.  The Gosselins and TLC have lost sight on why everyone was interested in the show, we wanted to see the true life of a family with eight children.  The endless expensive vacations, the new big house and other donations have put a damper on the show especially in these times when so many people have lost their jobs and are struggling to pay their bills. I find the Gosselins, the Duggers and the Roloffs have forgotten it was TLC who made all of their lives better. You should be thankful your families were choosen by TLC and given the chance to make all of your dreams come true.

House is outrageously too big and it has turned me off from the show....how much room do you need?  I think the kids will get lost and would think Kate would not be comfortable not knowing where her kids are all the time.  

I am re-watching some of the shows and noticed Kate mentions ALOT that some of the people in their lives are there for the right reasons and love her kids for her kids. Stop already Kate...we get it!!  It was about the kids; now it's about how rich you can get~!

I watched a video interview with Jon when he was in Utah skiing (I think with Cara) and probably for some publicity work.  He mentioned the show will probably not go on too much longer and he is also starting some business dealings.  And then he did say Kate travels alot these days.  I thought she wanted kids, now has 8 but now abandons them for publicity and to get richer and richer.  It's obvious by the size and cost of this new home.  I realize they need more room but wow....the size of this home is over the top. "If you love your kids for the right reasons, Kate" then stay home and raise your kids.  I will continue to watch (out of curiosity) but I am disappointed in Kate.  I truly liked watching this show but now I find them greedy and all about themselves and NOT their 8 ble$$ings....

I am amazed by all of the comments.  If you are so annoyed with Kate, there is this button called "off" that you can click on to turn the television off.  Try it.

Also, we should be happy that she is disciplining her children and trying to raise them the best that she can.  You may not like what she does or says or how she gets these "free" things, but she is trying to make her family better.

Unless you are Jon or Kate, don't assume.  You know what that does...

We have enjoyed watching their show.  The beautiful new home is a blessing, but they deserve it after letting the whole world view their everyday lives.  The letters written by others who say they are not going to watch anymore now that they are rich ,are just jealous.  We need to rejoice  with them in their new home and prosperity.  We would want the same if we were in their shoes.  We're happy for you Jon and Kate plus 8!

It is so neat to watch how big familys live every day lives.

We live in a society where reality shows are expected to be the norm...I'd much rather watch Jon and Kate than Big Brother where they are trying to get into each others pant and backstab each other.  Each to their own but I can't imagine anyone of you who were in their same shoes who wouldn't take any of the same 'handouts' that you find Jon and Kate taking.  So what if they can have a nice house, doesn't everyone wish for that??  I sure do, good for the Gosselins...I agree with mar...I'm glad she is disciplining her kids and limiting the TV they watch, maybe we would have less screwed up kids in this world if every parent were a little more like Jon and Kate.

I use to luv the show, but kate drives me nuts, with her bad mouthing jon...i can see why jodi and beth no longer have anything to do w/ her...she took advantage of them and some of the other kind people who folded laundry, put it away, ironed the kids clothes and all the other free help they received. Mady, one of the twins is a spoiled brat who is continually throwing temper tantrums and seems to be allowed to do so, w/out consequences..

I love the show.  I love the way the Jon and Kate have raised their kids.  Do I think Kate can go over-board? Yes.  Do I think they get to do a lot of stuff that I will probably never get to do in my life time? Yes.  Am I bitter? NO!!  The reason is that they have 8 kids.  If they did not get the help from TLC and others, they would not be able to give their kids the things they are giving them.  Withough TLC, Kate would probably still be working on weekends and Jon would never get to see his kids.  If I had that opportunity, I would jump at it and never look back.  In regards to their house.  Yes their house is large.  I think they needed it.  You look at some of the houses that are on the other shows when the family is 10 or more, they are large as well.  Let them have their house. Enjoy it.  Grow in it.  Be well.  I will keep watching until they finally decide that they don't want to do it any more.

I have always loved the show, but not anymore.  I have no desire to sit in my 2,000 sq. ft. home that my husband and I work hard to pay for and watch someone else get everything handed to them.  Wake up people!  Stop sending them money and gifts.

Most of you are jealous and need to stop being so self absorbed.  They took a big risk to earn that money and now they can live a comfortable life and send their kids to college!  This country is ridiculous with how expensive higher education is!  I am in grad school and the amount of debt I am in is unimaginable, but when you need a professional because your child is showing signs of ADHD or Autism you will come to me.  Why shouldn't they be able to do the same or a similar profession without having to worry about living in debt?  Get over your egos people, they will have a different life than you, just thank God you never had to go through the hell they went through those first few years (coming from her book).  They deserve it. Judging others is a waste of energy. Why don't you spend that energy raising your own kids instead of blogging about something you are ignorant to.  

What a very sad state of affairs when people have to be spiteful and Haters!They are normal people blessed with 8 babies! Thetelevision crew and the House are just part of it......

The thing is, it is starting to be so overdone. Kate is starting to show off. There is one episode with the new home where she says mine all this is mine! Thats where you can see the greed, and saying that did not help evoke those negative feelings in people. She should have just said something like, I can't believe we are soo blessed by this whole journey, who would have thought it. It would have been a little more natural, but now its like she is kinda flaunty and showy and thats not cool. I find JOn is more natural and like , could you beieve it type of attitude. I am happy for them, but the way Kate goes about it we could see right through her, and it will certainly not help her. AS for the kids, I feel that when they were just babies, they didn't really have a sense of what was going on as much as they do now. As they are getting older, Emotions come to play with the older girls, and as they grow up that can be quite disturbing to them and they will question their parents good intent for exposing there every day life for too long! they should quit while they are ahead. Kate got her huge home, now its time for privacy :)

I'm not writing to further provide any negative comments that condemn J&K for their move to the new house.  It is beautiful, and for some of you who wrote a couple of weeks ago, saying that the pictures that were posted of the "estate" was not J&K's new house, it IS their new house.  Here's a link to not only the aerial view, but the outside, "outbuildings", driveway and the house itself.  I've been watching the last couple of episodes and noticed that they had not (and probabaly would not) be showing the house itself for privacy reasons.  So, of course, I was curious and found this webiste:

It's a beautiful house AND we all know how they were able to afford it.  They get paid, I'm sure, quite well for every episode that we are all so entertained by.  And, I'm sure that it's rare they have to pay for their trips (Kate has always been open about this).  I think on every trip she says that it was gratis and they are grateful that they can take advantage of the generosity of the different resorts, companies or individuals that provided that opportunity.  Come on, the resorts make tons of $ just for giving this family the opportunity to spend a few days on their property.  For the resort I'm sure it's cheap advertising in the long run.

For those of you who are obviously "put off" by J&K's good fortune, if Ed McMahon shows up at your door with a whopping check I hope that you are prepared to give it back because you haven't "worked" for it.  And, by the way, I bet that entertaining millions of people can be hard work.  

It's entertainment for crying out loud.  Is it work to see Simon, Paula, Randy and Kara listen to people sing each week and tell them how lousy or great they are?  They make millions off of that too!

You can choose to watch it or not.  I'm sure that J&K will not cry over losing you as a viewer.  Isn't it better to wish them good luck, hope that their kids turn out to be good citizens, well adjusted, non-drug-using adolescents and descent human beings rather than to berate them for being on TV, writing books (that they don't force anyone to buy or read), and providing us with the opportunity to laugh and cry with them weekly.  As far as the comment about Mady being a brat, well, maybe she is.  One out of 8 isn't bad.  The other kids, for the most part, are great kids.  So is Mady, she's just more exciteable, less tolerable, and is probably more normal than the others.

Can Kate be obnoxious, well, h*&l yes, but truthfully, so can I and I bet you all are too.  Can Jon be considered whipped?  Probably most men would say yes.  But, it SEEMS that it works for them.  I just hope that the spotlight doesn't negatively impact them as a couple and one day we hear that they have divorced.  My husband and I have been married 30 years this year, and we only had one child.  That was hard enough.  I can't imagine how it would be with 8 children - and wondering how you will afford it all one day?  Those posts about the state possibly setting up college funds for the kids - great!  We could not afford to pay my son's way through college.  He has graduated, has a pretty descent job making fairly good money and I'm darned proud of him!!!!  But, I'm sure that he would be much better off if he didn't have a $30,000 college tuition bill staring him in the face each month. I wish that I could make it go away, but I can't.  

The only concern that I have, and maybe it's all talk, but I hope that J&K are not on the outs with Jodi and Beth and their husbands.  That would not be cool and would be very sad.

Did I wonder how J&K could move into a supposedly $1.3 million "mansion"?  Yes, I did.  Was I curious? yes.  Was I a bit jealous, maybe (although my husband and I have a nice house).  But, more importantly, I'm happy for them and to hear those kids run through the house happy as can be and I'm sure we'll hear them laughing and see them splashing on a future episode, is even better in my book.  J&K:  Keep loving each other, loving the kids, teaching the kids how to love one another and take advantage of the best that life has to offer you and them.

I live in the same county as the Gosselin's and I find it understandable that they would move to a larger home.  Not only is it for more room inside the house, but also the for security of their children from sightseers and stalkers!!!!  I would do the same.  They do need privacy once in a while!!!!!

I love the show.  I understand why some people don't like Kate, but she did not "choose" to have 8 kids.  As someone who is undergoing fertility treatments myself, ANYTHING you take or do has an association with multiples.  You do what you have to do to have a child.  If it's more than one, even better. Her situation was any fertility doctors nightmare. I personally could not do selective reduction either.  I think she is a strong woman for not choosing which of her children would live or die and taking the risks with her health that she did to make sure she gave them all a chance.  They are blessed with a big family and when word got out people started giving them stuff.  Don't tell me that if someone offered you a free trip you wouldn't take it.

Hi all....I used to love J&K as much as the next person, but Kate has gotten completely out of hand.  (No I am not jealous of her - lol)  She is so mean to Jon it is unbelievable and it's all there for us to see on public television. Would you make fun of the way your spouse spoke when he mumbled a word or accidentally said a wrong word?  Would you freak out in your 1.2 million dollar home if your husband forgot to use a coupon?  He is as busy (or more busy) as she is.  The kids love him.  The kids - especially the boys, shy from Kate and appear scared of her and want quickly to elude her when she beckons.  People please!  Do you really think we are jealous of someone who humiliates others?  The people she bought the house from are most likely mortified by her rage over the refrigerator.  Good grief.  How in the world can someone act this way?  We have 9 kids in our family - 2 sets of twins.  My parents never acted this way.  House was clean, people worked, kids have college educations -oh yeah -house was 2500sq. feet.  LOL!

I completely agree with what Julie above said.  My hubby and I were watching, and we couldn't believe how Kate embaressed, mocked John for saying that the boys were nosepoking... What the heck is the big deal we understood him, well she didn't like the term excuse me! As for the fridge, listen if thats the least of her problem cleaning a big beautiful fridge cause it has a little mold in it, well then lets all cry for her, like we haven't cleaned a fridge with something we forgot in it, which caused a little mold. BIG DEAL!! There are ppl in America losing there jobs and homes etc.... and here is Kate making a stink cause the fridge has a little mold PLEASEEEEE! AS for them needing privacy with the new home well Doh, if they put there kids on T.V. and expose there every day life, pooping etc... no kidding. THere are a lot of sick puppies out there pedos and trust me that would scare me soooo much that I would not have cameras in my home for the world to see me children not for one day! Kate tries to make herself seem flawless and this incredible supermom , how does she do it?? C'mon she has sooo much help from her hubby. How many of us have saved the day, raised our kids, cooked dinner and cleaned ovens and moldy fridges, no awards here for Kate she should come down a little form her power tripping and start thinking about protecting her kids from ongoing cameras, seriously!
