Understandably, John Travolta has canceled his appearance for tonight's Golden Globe Awards. Still in mourning over the death of 16-year-old son Jett, John is staying home with wife Kelly Preston instead. John was due to present one of the awards in tonight's ceremony. He's also nominated as part of the Best Animated Feature ("Bolt") and for Best Original Song, a duet with Miley Cyrus.
On Thursday, John and Kelly held a private memorial service for Jett in Ocala, Florida. Jett died from a seizure disorcer on January 2.
Frankly, I would have been shocked if John showed up at the Golden Globes. I hope he and Kelly are doing as best they can.
