R&B singer and actress Jill Scott is pregnant with her first baby! The 36-year-old and her fiance, drummer Lil' John Roberts will welcome their child in April.
Scott, who was promoting her new HBO series, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, spoke with reporters at the Television Critiics Association conference on Friday.
Says the mom-to-be, "The first trimester I spent in Botswana. That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You're sick every morning. It was seven hours time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14 hour days."
Despite the hardships, she's glad she went ahead with the filming. "My doctors gave me a clean bill of health and said you can do this, so I did it."
Congratulations and hopefully the remaining few months are easy ones!
Her due date is April 25.
