Britney Spears' father, Jamie, stepped in when she needed him most - after a very public breakdown - and while no one doubts that he saved his daughter from self-destruction, it appears that he's the one out of control now. He's making it quite clear that he doesn't want his daughter to have any kind of life. She must feel like a prisoner...
Brit's dad was made permanent conservator over her estate and financial dealings, as well as who she can see or not see. He controls every aspect of her life - professional and personal.
Jamie Spears also recently took his daughter's cell phone and now he's fired her staff and ordered her new boyfriend to stay away.
A source said, "Jamie is at his wits end over Britney's behavior. He's decided he's got no option but to take total control over her life to stop her hitting rock bottom.
"He has fired Britney's cleaners, cook and childminders at her LA home."
It's been reported that the 27-year-old singer is seeing choreographer Sandip Soparrkar and Jamie's putting a stop to that as well.
"Jamie fears they might do the dirty on Britney. She's annoyed but Jamie is determined to do the right thing even if it isn't what she wants.
"She is very vulnerable at the moment."
It's a catch-22. Britney is trying to get her career back to the top and she can't do that if her dad isn't conservator, but yet, as long as he is conservator, she can't ever get custody of her sons back. I think I'd want my boys more than my musical career.
Maybe Britney should scrap her career - she's been there, done that - and work at getting her babies back and move away and live a quiet, peaceful life.
