Bigger as in, better, of course. Tina Fey is about the size of a teacup, no? Sarah Palin could probably take her in a wrestling match.
Not, however, in a match of dignity.
Sarah - who apparently is more than a little choked that Tina got some career mileage out of her and, also, that Saturday Night Live continues to make fun of her, um, stand on teen pregnancy - made news last week when she mouthed off with her opinion that Tina Fey was just not funny (also: Katie Couric just not a good interviewer, John McCain just not a good running mate.) (I made that last one up, but you just know she was thinking it.) But when Tina was asked her thoughts on that backstage at the Golden Globes last night, she resisted the call of the opportunity to mock Palin further. Sort of. When Joal Ryan of E! Online asked her whether she understands why Palin doesn't understand why she's funny...
"I don't understand it, either," Fey said. "There are a lot of things that she and I don't understand."
Like the character of foreign relations between the US and Russia, what a hockey mom is, exactly, and how to run for federal office?
Tina Fey understands more than she lets on. God, I love her.
