Enrico Colantoni, best known as Veronica Mars' daddy, loves being part of the new hit series "Flashpoint," but it does require some sacrifices. The show is filmed in Enrico's home country - Canada - but his family stay in their home in Los Angeles. Because of school, kids Quintin (11) and Madelyn (8) stay back at home.
Fortunately, for Enrico, he returns home next month to wife Nancy and the fam. "I miss my kids," he says. "I know I'm going to go back in February, which makes it a lot more endurable." While he's away, 45-year-old Enrico stays in touch with Skype.
He talks about costar Amy Jo Johnson, too. Amy Jo is a new mom to Francesca Christine, 7 weeks. Enrico says Amy Jo will be returning to the show soon. "Her baby is absolutely the most beautiful thing," he says. "Something happens in the fourth episode [of Flashpoint] of this season that will sort of explain where things stand with Amy Jo. Anyone schooled in the ways of television knows how it works - the actress is pregnant, and then something happens, and the character conveniently disappears for a while."
