Country music star Jo Dee Messina and her husband Chris Deffenbaugh have welcomed a son! Baby arrived at 1:01 p.m. January 19 at a Nashville-area hospital. He weighed in at 6 lbs, 15 oz. And what did they name their bundle of joy?

They named him Noah Roger Deffenbaugh, and he's the first child for both and since dad Chris is a woodworker,he made his son a handmade crib and change table. Very nice!
Although the pregnancy wasn't planned, they were pleasantly surprised when they found out they were expecting.
Said Jo Dee, "We knew we wanted to have kids, but we just said, 'Whenever it happens, it happens.' And it happened! We were both surprised at first. It's such a lifestyle change. But then we're like, 'Wow, we're going to be parents!'"
Messina is planning a tour for her new album Unmistakable, and will take baby Noah with her.
"But I'm like, 'How do you do that?' Who rides where? Band? Crew? Family? What safety devices do you need? I might grab one of the other singer moms like Sara Evans or Martina McBride and say, 'Help me!'"
Jo Dee and Chris celebrated their first wedding anniversary in October.
