Brad & Angie's Oscar Nods: Meh, We're Busy With Kids

Posted by Sassy Smith

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were both nominated for Oscars (he for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, she for Changeling) and although they were flattered to be acknowledged, and released statements, the couple didn't have time to celebrate.  Pitt says they're just too busy chasing six kids.

Brad insists that award nominations have to take a backseat to looking after kids, especially since he and Angie have a big family.  He said they have no plans of celebrating:  "We've got kids to deal with."

Pitt reveals he was not expecting to be nominated.  "Truthfully, I hadn't thought about it," he told ET.

Although he was flattered for his own nod and that of the film (Benjamin Button).  He added, "But I'm glad that it's in there because it's a film that picks up the mantle of old Hollywood and it's carrying on in that tradition.  I think it's a testament to [director] David Fincher who has given years of his life to the movie."

I'm sure he and Angelina will be hiring a sitter and definitely going to the Oscars when they roll around!  Not sure if either of them will win, but you never know.  I wonder if they'll let the older kids stay up late to watch the show?
