Melissa Etheridge Shares Shot of Her Babies

What with the paparazzi being such hounding jerks at times, singer/songwriter Melissa Etheridge had enough after a weird encounter this weekend. She and her wife, Tammy, decided to share a photo of their 2-year-old twins. There's daughter Johnnie Rose and son Miller Steven.

Very cute, yeah?

"I am my own 'razzi,'" Tammy said. "I don't like the chase, so I am hoping that posting a photo will deter them from spooking the hell out of us in the future."

Unlikely, but it should hold them off for at least half an hour, starting about 20 minutes ago. Enjoy your 10 minutes of peace, Melissa and Tammy. Use the time wisely.

I'm from the Netherlands so it's hard to imagine what it's like to live in America where there is so little tolerance towards gay people and gay parents. It seems to me that it is considered more important to be "normal" family; mom, dad and child, than to raise a child full of love, care and attention! Those paparazzi should leave people alone, especially when they are already so open to us all about their lives. The little privacy they have, let them enjoy that! In Holland we would tell those paparazzi: F***-a-Duck!

Tammy and Melissa: I admire your ability to stay with both feet on the ground, just trying to have a loving private family-life and at the same time trying to please fans etc. Because in everything you do I can see your responsibility towards the people (fans) who support you in so many ways.
