That sounds like a bad romance novel. It always plays out the the rich and powerful shipping magnate is going to take the child that was born is secret to his home, and the mother will never see the baby again, because what court would side against him.
Did Tom Cruise read too many romance novels as a teen and decide that was what he wanted to be? You know, beside killing Hitler.
