"I have family in spades," says Sandra Bullock, 44. She sat down with InStyle magazine to talk about her marriage to Jesse James, as well as being a stepmother. Jesse has three kids from previous marriages - Jesse Jr., 11, and daughters Chandler, 14, and Sunny, 5.
Sandra says, "Everything we do is about the kids. I haven't had children biologically. I had shut that off. Then I met Jesse and it turned on again. I was like, 'Oh, that's that feeling.'" For now, though, Sandra doesn't see pregnancy in the immediate future.
"We realized we had to take care of some other things on this planet first. I hope to God when we get to a place where all is safe, calm, happy, and healthy, it's not too late." Um, what? The human race has been going on for a long time and not once have babies been born into a world where it's safe.
Sandra isn't worried about having her own biological children, though. "There are millions of children on this planet that I would be honored to call my own," she says. "Thankfully I married someone who loves me just the way I am - and all the nuttiness that goes into me."
"My greatest joy is making our home what it's supposed to be. Being a good wife, a good stepmom, a good current wife to the ex-wife. We're a family."
A good current wife to the EX-WIFE?! You mean I have to be a good current husband to my future wife's ex-husband? Isn't it hard enough just being a good husband to my wife?
