Phoenix Suns guard Jason Richardson was arrested in Scottsdale last night for driving 90 mph in a 35 mph zone. The worst part: he had his unrestrained 3-year-old son in the backseat.
After he was stopped, Richardson told police that he had taken his son to dinner and was on his way home.
Richardson was arrested and charged with reckless driving, excessive speeding and failure to use a child seat; he was released within a few hours.
Police report that Richardson's wife arrived at the scene of the incident and took custody of the boy. Let's hope she puts a stop to any more father-son dinner dates until Richardson learns how to use a child seat. 90 mph and his kid wasn't restrained? He's lucky it wasn't his last supper.
