Hip-hop star and performer M.I.A. welcomed her first child - a son - last Wednesday, and she was scheduled to perform this coming Sunday at the Oscars, however, will the new mom be up for it so soon after the birth of her baby?
Oscar producers Laurence Mark and Bill Condon are willing to do whatever it takes to make M.I.A. comfortable, in the hopes that she'll be performing at the Oscars Sunday evening, even though she's just had a baby.
M.I.A. is scheduled to perform her Oscar-nominated song "O, Saya" from Slumdog Millionaire, and producers are suggesting she perform on a bed!
Said Mark, "She's eager to perform... We've said things like, 'We're willing to have her enter on a large bed.' We'll make it as easy for her as we can."
I'm thinking she'll do it - if the woman can get her groove on, up on the Grammy stage, when she's ready to pop a baby out, then this should be a piece of cake!
