Octomom: You Know You're Famous When...You Get A Wiki Page!

Posted by Sassy Smith

Did Nadya Suleman plan to be famous?  We know she planned to have a huge brood of babies, so perhaps, in the back of her mind, she knew she'd be the talk-of-the-town if she accomplished what she purposely set out to do.  She may not have planned to have octuplets, but that's exactly what happened.  And so, one of the most vilified mother's in America - heck, maybe the world - has her very own Wikipedia page!

Some facts listed on her Wiki page:

1. Nadya Suleman is also known as Natalie Denise Suleman; Nadya or Natalie Suleman-Gutierrz (while married); and Nadya or Natalie Denise Doud.

2. She's an only child.  Oh yes, we know that!

3. Nadya suffered a back injury while working as a psychiatric technician at Metropolitan State Hospital and filed a claim in 1999 against the hospital, filing another claim in 2001 against the Workers' Comp Appeals Board.  She received $167,908 in disability payments.  Amazing she was able to carry and birth so many children with a horrible back injury.

4. Suleman received a Bachelor of Science degree in child and adolescent development in 2006.  Oh the irony right?

5. After Nadya's separation from her husband in 2000, while living with her parents, she claims she suffered 3 miscarriages.  She told a psychiatrist that she suffered deep depression and had suicidal thoughts while trying to have a family.  That makes for a legitimate reason to keep implanting this woman with embryos - to what?  Cure her?

6. Three of her older children are special needs; one is "mildly autistic," another has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and a third has a mild speech delay and "mildly" autistic.

7. Octuplets by name and birth order: Noah - boy 2 lbs 11 oz, Maliah - girl 2 lbs 12 oz, Isaiah - boy 3 lbs 4 oz, Nariah - girl 2 lbs 8 oz, Makai - boy 1 lb. 8 oz, Josiah - boy 2 lbs 12 oz, Jeremiah - boy 1 lb. 15 oz, and Jonah - boy 2 lbs 11 oz.

8. All of the octuplets have "Angel" as their middle name and Solomon as their last name. (Nadya is known to have used Nadya or Natalie and "Solomon" as her last name - or could be the donor's last name, although that's unlikely).

9. Nadya's other six children are (with the last name of Solomon as well): Elijah Makai (boy), 7, Amerah Yasmeen (girl), 6, Joshua Jacob (boy), 5, Aiden (boy), 3, and two-year-old twins - Calyssa Arielle (girl) and Caleb Kai (boy).

10. Suleman has reportedly made several attempts to contact actress Angelina Jolie (whom she has an uncanny resemblance to).  Nadya denies any interest in Jolie and denies she's had any surgery.  We have eyes Nadya!

Whether or not Nadya wanted fame - she's got it now!  I'm sure every move she makes, especially when it comes to her children, will be watched.
