I'm not trying to imply that Sheryl Crow isn't at. or above, normal intelligence. Chances are her friend is competent as well.
However, they are all kinds of windblown and sweaty- and Wyatt? Well, he's just chillin' in the shade with a tasty beverage.
Seems pretty smart to me.
