Oh... she's in for a treat.

Duh. TLC has obviously paid them to add animals to the family. The kids are getting older and they need to up the cuteness factor. (You know how they have babies on sitcoms everytime the littlest kid hits 5?)

Wow.  8 kids and 2 puppies ... their life is going to have a whole new level of "not fun" now.  

Kate must have lost her mind.  She's such a neat freak, how will she ever handle two dogs?  They'll probably be "outside" dogs soon enough - sad.

I thought it was sad how much she clearly doesn't like dogs on the episode.  If you don't like them, don't get some!  And just because they were bred by a police officer doesn't make them any better behaved, you have to actually TRAIN them.

i think it was a great idea because they have the land and the kids love animals so don't reject!!

Bah, just a television ploy to keep people tuning in. The producers want to see Kate flip out over the dogs. When they're not filming the dogs will probably live elsewhere.

The Gosselin's bought the dogs for protection. They know some people have turned against them since they moved into their million dollar home and are doing very well financially.  They also know their new address has been put on the internet and that people have been driving by on the main road trying to get pictures of them in the front yard. They moved to the new house and to a quite area because they needed more space and they did not want to disturb their new neighbors with the TLC trucks and cars, the crew, their lights and noise.  They know their old neighborhood was glad to see them leave.

I agree with you Missy- the dogs will probably be living in another "house".

We own two GSD's and they require A LOT of training.  They are smart dogs, loving dogs, but can get destructive if left alone, or if they have the wrong type of care. No screaming, flipping out...like Kate has already done with the pups in the first episode- when the puppies went potty on the carpet!   Our dogs are wonderful with our children, all under the age of 11.  However, we worked with our children on the proper ways to interact with dogs NO SITTING ON THEM, no hitting the dogs...well, I could go on and on.  My husband was the one who flipped thru the channel and had me come into watch the program.  We were in awe of course with the breed, those adorable GSD's are precious....but like any large powerful breed, they do not stay little very long....but they always stay adorable...and are wonderful dogs!

My only fear is that Kate seems to be all over the map with her emotions....and she may just flip out when one of the puppies does something wrong (like most dogs will) and flip out hitting the dog.

Someone- help her train those pups!      

I think it was a great idea! Sure Kate will flip out on the dogs, but the kids love animals! In the first episode with the dogs they mentioned that Mady and Cara feed the dogs. That's what the twins are learning. The little kids are learning to put there toys away. There is a benifit out of the Gosselins getting 2 dogs.

They are so cute!! I hope that those rumers arnt ture. Until we see pictures lets pray that it isnt true. But i am happy for them with their 2 new babies!!

For a lady so obsessed with germs and cleanliness she is in for it. Our puppy is 7 months old now and is FINALLY housebroken. And I don'thave 8 little ones "helping".  Can Kate last that long?

I am glad to see them go. They did live on the same street as me before they left, Several times a week the crew would show up with tons of trucks and people and block the road. YUCK !! I would hear kate barking orders at john when they were outside playing with those wonderful kids. Kate is not nice to her husband I feel sorry for him. Good luck John.

At least when she say's as she so often does "Oh don't listen to anything Jon say's" the dogs won't know what she is talking about. Maybe the dogs will have some respect for Jon.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME... the kids arent cute enough... Who in their right mind DOES NOT WAIT TO GET PETS TIL THEIR KIDS ARE OLDER... Pets are supposed to bring joy and also a sense of responsiblity to the home. I watch the show because I care about these kids and want to see what is going on and how a the famil dynamic is changing... not to see a puppy. I DONT THINK ANYONE COULD PAY KATE ENOUGH TO BRING PUPPIES INTO THE HOME UNLESS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE KIDS.

I have two little ones, ages 2 1/2 and 1(just turned 1 today!!!), and we adopted an adult lab from the pound. It's hard work but as the Goslins, and anyone with kids, know that sometimes you do things for your kids that is really hard on yourself, just so the kids can have the best possible life you can give them. Dogs are actually really good for kids, they teach responsability as well as unconditional love. I say, two puppies???? Well if you can handle it, more power to you. As for Jon cheating? I highly doubt it. He has enough to worry about without adding something like cheating to the mix. And Kate might shout orders alot but you know what, someone has to stay on top of things, if she wasn't around there would be total chaos. I can totally relate to how she keeps that family together.  Good job Goslins, your doing great! Oh and by the way, anyone who believes Jon is cheating on Kate because they read it in Star Magazine is crazy and gullable. Everyone knows Star is full of crap. I watched a documentary once on how every week they have a meeting and who ever has the best made up story to go with the picture that they have, gets it printed. And they do alter those pictures as well...

Looks like Jon has had all he can take of Kate.A lot of reports that Jon has been cheating on Kate has surfaced. Can't say i blame him. I had to quit watching the show ages ago because of her,Can't imagine being married to her.

I wish everyone would leave Kate alone. Yeah, she does need to back off Jon's case a little before he does leave. But besides that, Kate is a great mother. Not too many people would handle things as great as her and Jon do with 8 kids. Everyone wants to complain about them making money off their TV show but all of you know you would do the same thing. You all are just jelious because you wish you had their money. It's all about the kids. That's what all you haters need to remenber!!!!!!!!

The way they went about getting the dogs rubs me the wrong way.  First off, the dogs came from a backyard breeder.  They could've easily rescued (see Oprah) and leveraged some great PR from the rescue community.  Second, the two pups came from the same litter.  I pray they have them fixed.  Overall just not a good situation or environment to be raising dogs.

1. Quit bashing on the show! these people are real... they could some day get on the internet and find you people making fun of them... they did not say oh put six babies in me so i can get my own tv show and become a celebrity... no they love children so they tried for one... and got six. back off.

2. i have a german shepherd dog and it is the most loving friendly protective dog i have ever met in my life. its a good choice to have the kids grow up around pets... and it teaches them responsibility.

3. obviously tlc did not give them money and say hey go buy dogs... because look at the episodes of the "kids special days" one went to a farm... or rode horses... or saw aligators.... back off just because they wanted a family pet doesnt mean they are horrible people jeez.

first, a lot of you guys can't spell anything or figure out the difference between there/their.

second, the picture of jon so does not look like jon and even if it IS jon, a picture with two women does not mean that he is cheating. plus, listening to things you hear from a magazine with the reputation that STAR has.. umm, no?!

third, all you "kate's a bitch, i'm glad jon's getting away" people.. kate is rude with him sometimes, no denying.. but, she has EIGHT children.. she, obviously, is very stressed! i get rude with my boyfriend sometimes and we DON'T have eight children, or a million bills to pay, or dogs to train, or anything TOO stressful.. people get rude. kate is probably not ALWAYS rude to jon, as jon stuck around long enough to have eight children with her? if she was that horrible, he would have left her BEFORE having children.. or getting married.. also, even if kate is a huge bitch to him all of the time and he hates her or whatever, WHY would you people that "care about the kids" hope that he cheats on her or goes out and "has some fun" or leaves her?! what do you think that does to the children? there are SO many broken homes, i'm from one, and that really gets to a child! anyone who WISHES a cheating father and broken family upon eight beautiful, innocent children.. i don't even know what to say to you.

fourth, who cares if TLC did pay them to get puppies?! they're on TLC letting cameramen invade their lives and show america what they do, TLC pays them to do this, so if TLC wants to make it more intersting, get over it. if i was on a tv show and they PAID me to get a dog, hell yes i'll get a dog.. oh that and their children WANTED a dog.. i'm sure everyone just LOVES actors and actresses and the tv shows and movies that they grace us with, i wonder if they ever get paid or given anything to say or do something on their shows, hmmm.. PROBABLY!

fifth, if kate bothers you soo much and you can't stand the show anymore.. QUIT watching. if you HAVE stopped watching, good.. that's a step up. now, how about: QUIT BLOGGING ABOUT IT! if it bothers you that much, erase it from your life and fucking move on. i just adore people that bitch and bitch about OTHER people's lives that mean nothing to them.. especially when you're not there, and you know NOTHING about what is going on.

Everyone needs to stop speculating and passing judgement on them. The only reason why there is such negative posts about them is because their life is in the public eye.

What is going on behind your closed door? Do you argue with your husband ever? I never heard of a perfect marriage. Marriage is a lot of work.

From what the show let's us see (because we don't see what happens when the camera is turned off) is that they love those pups, and they have a great home with plenty of land to run and play.

How many people are abusing animals now that we don't know about until it shows up on the news?

Yes maybe Kate is a little OCD, but you would have to be to have 8 kids running around the house, I have 3 and my house is tore upside down half the week. I wish I could be more organized like her.

It's so easy to bash on people, maybe if the world would stop being so quick to judge and gossip we might all be a bit happier, but of course its easier to bash than say kind words, or is it?

first of all, i'm tired of reading that he's cheating on her. i'm also tired of reading that kate is a terrible person and treats jon terribly. do you all not understand that the show is edited to show only certain things? 9 out of 10 times kate might be fine, but the 1 time out of 10 it what they show. i do not believe that she is a mean woman, she is a wonderful mother. read her book 'multiple blessings'. it's far beyond what you'd think, a majority of the book centers around the good Lord and how he guided her and a jon through it all. another big portion of the book is what a wonderful man jon is... i don't think jon would have time to cheat if he wanted to. folks, please remember there is a lot more at stake than just a relationship. THERE ARE CHILDREN INVOLVED. some little kid that goes to school with the gosselins children could easily read this BS and run into school and make their lives terrible. LEAVE IT ALONE.

personally i have never liked the jon and kate plus eight show, to me i think they exploted their kids to get free stuff which i thought was wrong of them to do.when there is people out in the world today that do not have anything,and it makes me sick to hear them say they can't afford this and that when jon has a good job so they are not hurting for anything.i am glad to see their show go off the air i think it is about time,all i can say is good riddens to the gossilins.

I TOTALLY agree with you on the hair!  What is up with it?  The long flap of hair on the right side of her head drives me crazy...then it is so short on the other side, then she has those spikey things in the back...if they have all this money now she needs to go to a real hair stylist and get a real haircut.  I feel like she is going to follow over from there being so much more hair on the one side.  It looks awful!

I can understand going out for a drink with the buddies and or wife, to just get away from the kids every once and a while, but what I don't understand is why on earth you would cheat on kate!!!!!- I mean, what's going to happen with the kids? I really think that Kate is so compulsive that everything has to be her way or no way.  She is truley mean to Jon and has so many embarassing things on the air, I can't blame him.  Maty's behavior is terrible.  I would put an end to that real quick.  That will continue to get worse if you don't get a grip on that now.

Ok so i just love this show, im actually watching it now but Kate is such a B***h...i feel so sorry for Jon, He tries to do everything he can for Kate and all she does is complain and treat him like one of the kids...The Season Finale is coming up and ive been hearing rumors of divorce, which wouldnt suprise me and actually i would totally point and laugh in kates face while they sign the divorce papers!! Maybe if she wasnt such a stuck up, lil miss priss all the time she wouldnt have to deal with her husband going out and having fun with girls from college. She really pisses me off!!

Can anyone help me answer a few questions about the show?

First of all, is the show really in it's final seswaon, or are they coming back next year?  I know next week is the season finale, but will they be back next fall?  

Second, Does anyone remember Kate saying they were going to adopt a baby girl?  Is that still in the works?  Maybe for next season?

Third, how come no one has mentioned the sadness that the one poor puppy had to have surgery because it ate one of the kids toys?  My kids were so sad when I told them they had to cut open the puppy's belly to get the toy out. I know it can happen to anyone with young children and a puppy, but it is just really sad.  I'm not sure this household was the best candidate to get 2 puppies!

Well, it seems that all of you might have to find something else to argue about.  Jon and Kate are going to make an important announcement on the season's final show next Monday.  They video recorded the last two seasons without a break.  You can bet this break will be used in introspection.  If they decide that the show has had a negative impact on the kids and on the marriage they will just stop the show - PERIOD!!  They have said that several times on different episodes.  I love watching the kids but I personally hope they do stop.  I can see where the kids are changing and getting some "attitude".  Did you hear Alexis ask "What are you looking at?" when the camera got in her face?

With that big house, you can bet they have hired "staff" now.  Last episode Kate even hired a "dog sitter".  Everything about them has changed now.  Perhaps it IS time to move on.

If you happened to catch the new family on the block right after last Monday's episode of J&K+8 you might like them just as well but for different reasons.  One of their sixtuplets has cerebral palsey.  They also have 2 sets of twins.  The mom stays home and actually does laundry!  The dad is a police officer who loves kids but is not a strong disciplinarian.  The Mother of all those kids is amazingly sweet and calm.  They disagree but are not mean to each other. They appear to be genuine and sincere.

Do as you wish, but as for me I intend to look for a new passion.  The Gosselin kids have outgrown me.

I think the dogs will just make Kate more stressed than she already is. Jon is layed back, i don't thing they will bother him. But Kate...oh boy. I heard rumors that they are getting a divorse. I will seriously die if they do. I love their family more than i love my own family sometimes. I think i would cry everytime i think about it. ugh. I pray they don't get a divorse. I think Jon and Kate got the right breed of dogs.I have 6 German Shepherds and they are the most loyal dogs ever!

Aw how cute but are they really ready to nurture puppies and train them? I dont know if Kate can handle that stress on top of everything else she deals with on a daily basis. If so, I do hope the children will be respectful of the pups and allow them some'down' time when the poor things need it! LOL

I love the show kate is a wonderful mom and the yelling comes from stress i hope they don't go how would you feel if you were in her position also stress comes from the nasty words some veiwers say so be kind and leave them alone and if you dont like them then dont Watch it and leave them alone you are creating more stresss and problems

I so agree with those people who say, if you don't like the people or the show, DON'T WATCH IT!!!!!!!!!  I hate wrestling so I don't watch it.  It's that easy!!  Jon, I believe you are a good Chistian man and the head of your home, please don't put yourself in a position were the WORLD is going to discredit you.  You and Kate have been given 8 gifts, and please take care of those gifts from GOD.  They are perfect and beautiful, they do need some close parenting, and training NOW.  Even, Aaden was screaming for someone to "get him a paper towel".  That's sad that this is happening.  Get a hold on the attitudes NOW before they all turn sour.
