Interscope Records founder Jimmy Iovine and his wife, Vicki Iovine, are divorcing. Vicki is an ex-Playboy playmate, a lawyer and a writer. The couple have been married for twenty-four years and have four children together.
During my pregnancy, while most of my girlfriends were dedicated to those What to Expect When You're Expecting books, I was also getting the straight dope from Vicki's The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy. Because while most books scared me with things like 'How to Express Your Milk Using a Toilet Plunger and a Car Battery,' Girlfriends made me laugh with paragraphs like this one on pregnancy boobs:
"If your husband should happen to touch your breasts you will feel completely justified in hitting him with the bedside lamp...The good news, especially for those of us who have always secretly longed to be big busty gals, is that they will continue to grow, and they will stop hurting eventually. In a month or so, you and your husband will have a nice new set of playthings."
Sorry to hear about the breakup. But Vicki, I'm sure everyone is just waiting for you to write The Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce.
