Jade Goody Update: Priest Says A Prayer, Sons Say Goodbye
With only hours left to live, Jade Goody’s sons, Bobby Jack and Freddie, have arrived at their mother’s home to say their final goodbyes. As well, a priest was called in to conduct a short prayer service.
Jade, who has been heavily medicated the last few days, is in and out of awareness. She had wanted to have an early Mother’s Day celebration but unfortunately that was not able to happen. Her rep, Max Clifford said, “There hasn’t been a Mother’s Day party. They were hoping to have one but she’s asleep most of the time and is heavily sedated.”
Her sons, Bobby and Freddie, arrived a short time ago to see their mother before she passes. The boys were accompanied by Jade’s mom, Jackie Budden, and her friend Kevin Adams. The boys brought books and DVDs and had their faces painted. Even Jack Tweed, Jade’s husband, had his face painted to join in with the boys, and they all played in the garden for a short time.
Clifford added, “The boys went to see her and she was aware of them for a brief moment or two. She saw them and she smiled. She has put her house in order and faced up to everything in an incredibly brave way.
“Now we’re waiting for the inevitable, it could be at any time, we just don’t know.”
He continued, “The whole process of her coming home is to die at home with the minimum amount of pain. The more sedation you have, the less you are aware of what’s going on.
“She is where she wants to be, with the people she wants to be, making the most of every minute.”

I continue the Rat Race one Wednesday Morn
My body has alignments which needs to be sought
I leave the office early to see my GP
He examines and tests and says wait and see
Refereed to a specialist in Haematology
I await a diagnosis and a remedy
A biopsy, a CT scan is also required
My body is acing, I feel so very tired
Waiting for the result in uncertainty
My mind wonders and falls into decadency
The diagnosis finally comes, you have the Big C
A shock to the system followed by Tiers and prayers

I feel so sad that you are going through all this pain, but you should be so proud of your accomplishments, especially your two little bundles of joy. You are amazing how you have dealt with this arwful situation, and have been really brave in speaking to your boys about death. I have a seven year old, and can understand how hard that may have been for you.

Jade, you are quite simply the bravest, courageous and most inspirational young woman there has ever been. You say you will be ‘the brightest star in the sky’ yet you have alredy shone beyond belief in your short life. I do not know you personally yet you are in my thoughts everyday. What you have done for your boys and for raising awareness in cervical cancer etc is something not many could even consider contemplating, yet look what you have achieved. Your wedding was beautiful and you looked stunning. You have carried yourself with pride and dignity, as best you can under these circumstances.
