Natasha Richardson: Liam Neeson Releases Statement
After a tragic skiing accident, actress Natasha Richardson has passed away at the age of 45. She was surrounded by family, who had the difficult decision to remove her from life support after she suffered head injuries, and was listed as “brain dead” from her fall. Her husband, actor Liam Neeson, has released a statement, through his rep, on behalf of the grieving family.
The statement reads:
Alan Nierob, Neeson’s rep said, “Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”
Natasha and Liam were married in 1994, and have two sons – Micheal Richard Antonio, 13, and Daniel Jack, 12.
“A small private funeral,” is planned according to family members.
We are so sorry for their loss.

Its always the good ones ..while monsters run a muck!!
Senseless accident!..shakes head..
She was remarkable!
May her memory serve as some standard for all of us.
Words are not enough to express the pain ..
Prays and Thoughts to the Family.
I regret not personally knowing Natasha, however, I feel priveleged to have known about her. The impression that she left in my mind is that she possessed an inner beauty that transcended to her outer being. To be able to see her performances in movies, again & again, will allow me to be reminded of her warm, beautiful smile and her radiant, lovely eyes. Liam, Michael, Daniel and Vanessa, the sun will shine again.
Dr, Martin, with all due respect, can ambulance personnel insist that a person go with them? There should be a non-negotional policy posted that the skiers must comply with the opinion of the ambulance staff.
this was a needless death;which Liam Neesom & his family should use against the ski resort, to stop future such incidents that happened to his wife. When Natasha Richardson fell and struck her head sking; she signed a release with her instructors, relieving them of medical liability; But what does she know about medicine?(NOTHING)A severe headache after a about an hour with such a fall has a differential diagnosis of:#1.Probable evolving subdural hematoma #2.Probable intracranial bleeding #3.concussion
IF SHE HAD BEEN PUT ON A JET TO TORONTO FOR A NEUROSURGEON TO REMOVE PART OF HER SKULL & GIVE HER MANNITOL, SHE WOULD STILL BE ALIVE.
Natasha I loved you in Parent Trap, and Maid in Manhattan.
You always managed to have such grace and poise. Thanks for
the memories that you left with your fans. Liam, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God Bless you through this very tragic time in your life. You will be truly missed. BJ Whitman, Morristown Tn
my thoughts and prayers go out to all of natasha’s family at this time. this is a terrible tragedy that makes you realize that life can change in an instant.i have had the sad experience of having a loved one die suddenly, my father. i know how heartbreaking it can be. again i am deeply sorry and my prayers are with you all.
One wonders how such tragedies can occur literally from one’s blind spot. I often look for the silver lining, for the bigger picture, for the higher purpose in such situations. I remember when Chris Reeves died and when his wife, Dana, died soon after leaving their son behind. I am deeply, profoundly sorry for the immeasurable pain that Liam and the rest of the family must be experiencing at this time. I am so very sorry
Very heartebreaking inded. The family and friends will be forever grieving for the tragic loss of Natasha. My prayers are with Liam Neeson and family.
I know, it truly is so, so sad. I like it when celebrity gossip is just that, gossip – fun and silly, or cute pics of a celebrity kid. When it’s a story about a beautiful actress, wife and mother who has died, it sucks. My heart breaks for the family.
This is just so heartbreaking. There are no other words to describe it. I’m glad that their family is so close and can support each other and their children through this. We can’t take life for granted. My thoughts and prayers really are with them right now.
