American Idol finalist Lakisha Jones and husband Larry Davis are expecting their first child together. The season 6 competitor (she finished fourth) also has a daughter, 6-year-old Brionne, who encouraged her to try out for AI. You know, I don't get it - my kids are always trying to get me not to sing.
Jones has a busy few months ahead of her - her debut album, “So Glad I’m Me,” hits the stores in May and the baby is expected in August.
But you won't hear her complaining. “Family is important to both of us, and so we’re really looking forward to our new baby’s arrival,” she says. “What can I say? With the baby coming and the release of my first album - when I think about all the goodness in my life right now, everyday I think ‘I’m so glad I’m me!” Hey, that would make a great name for an album.
